How to Verify your Meta Mafioso NFT in the Meta Signals Discord (Manual Verification Process)

Before you begin

Make sure that you are in the official Meta Signals Discord server, found at: http://discord.metasignals.io

Server ID: 688946417028431938

For the smoothest experience, it is recommended that you verify from a desktop computer.

Before you can successfully verify the NFT you must solve the captcha and agree to the T&C (Step 1 and 2)

Step-by-step instructions

Go to the #verify-nft channel

You will see the following message from the Meta Signals NFT Verify Bot:

You will see the following message:

a. At the top, copy the text under “Message to Sign” or click the <<Display Message>> button at the bottom to display the message in a separate post.

Make sure to use your cursor to select the exact text without any extra spaces. If you fail to copy the exact text, in the next step you will see an error message similar to the below. (e.g. <Random wallet address> does not own NFT token #XXX)

b. Paste the message into a text file (you will need it later).

Sign a message via Etherscan:

a. Navigate to https://etherscan.io/verifiedSignatures.

b. Click <<Sign Message>>

c. Connect a Web3 Wallet:

d. The following dialogue will appear: Paste the message from Step-2 here

e. Click <<Sign Message>>

f. Click <<Confirm>>

g. After confirming, you will see this window: Copy your Signature Hash and save it in a text file (you will need it later).

h. Click the <<Close>> button:

Do not click <<Publish>>.

Go Back to the #verify-nft channel in the Meta Signals Discord and click the <<Submit Signature>> button:

You will see the below dialogue. Paste your signature hash from step 4g into the Signed Message field. Enter your NFT token ID (this is the NFT number). Click Submit.

You can find the NFT token ID in your wallet under the NFTs section. Some Web3 wallets still struggle to display NFTs. In this instance, you can also paste your wallet address into Etherscan to see your NFT token ID.

Upon verification you will see a Verification Successful message. A lightning bolt will appear next to your Discord username, denoting your Mafioso status. All alert and chat channels will be visible.
